How can a student join a class?

To participate in Ohio Academy of Science (OAS) events, you must join your class on ProjectBoard. Your teacher will provide you with a Class Code that you'll need to enter during account creation.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you through the process.

Step 1: Obtain Your Class Code
Before you begin, make sure you have the Class Code provided by your teacher. This code is essential for joining the correct class on ProjectBoard.

Step 2: Create your account on ProjectBoard
  1. Visit the ProjectBoard landing page, scroll down and select "Student Portal"
  2. Select the red "Start Here" button.
  3. Enter the Required Information: Fill in your personal details as required.
  4. Enter the Class Code: During account creation, you’ll be prompted to enter your Class Code. Make sure you enter the code accurately, as this will automatically add you to your teacher’s class.
Step 3: Confirm Your Class
After completing the account creation process, you can confirm which class you’ve joined by following these steps.

What to Do If You're Not Part of a Class
If you find that you’re not part of a class or need to join a class after creating your account, please reach out to info@ohiosci.org

Important Reminders:

Double-Check the Class Code: Make sure you enter the correct Class Code during account creation. An incorrect code could place you in the wrong class or prevent you from joining altogether.

Contact Your Teacher: If you’re unsure of the Class Code or encounter any issues, reach out to your teacher for assistance.

By following these steps, you'll be all set to participate in the Ohio Academy of Science events through ProjectBoard! If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team at https://projectboard.world/oas/contact
