How to create a New Student Account on ProjectBoard for Ohio Academy of Science Events
To participate in the Ohio Academy of Science events through ProjectBoard, you'll need to create a student account if you don't have one already. If you already have an account, follow this
guide to re-activate it for this year.
Follow the steps below to get started:
- Visit the Ohio Academy of Science ProjectBoard Page: Go to https://projectboard.world/oas.
- Access the Student Portal: Click on the 'Student Portal' button.
- Sign Up as a Student: Read through the information on the Student Portal. When you're ready to sign up, click on the 'START NOW!' button.
- Complete the Sign-Up Form: Fill in the required fields on the sign-up form and click on the 'CONTINUE' button.
Important: students are required to provide your parent’s email address during account creation.
Important Email Guidance
When creating your account, please use a personal email address or a parent’s email address. Avoid using a school-provided email, as many school domains block external communications. We will send important updates about the program to the email address you provide, so make sure it’s one you can access easily.
- Provide Additional Information
After completing the sign-up form, you’ll be prompted to provide some additional details about yourself. At this stage, you’ll need to enter a class code provided by your teacher. We recommend asking your teacher for this class code before starting your account creation process. If you don’t have the code right now, don’t worry—you can return to this step later. Simply log back into your account, and you will be prompted to complete the additional questions once you have the class code.
Once you’ve completed the form, you will be prompted to update your ProjectBoard profile. You can update your profile picture here and/or add a short bio. This step is optional.
After this your account activation is complete for this year, and you can start working on your project!
