How to create a project on ProjectBoard?

To get started with your project on ProjectBoard, follow these steps:

  1. Log In and Start Your Project:

  2. Select a Template:

    • On the Start Project page, you’ll see various templates. Hover over a template to see two options: "Preview" and "Choose."
    • Preview Templates: We advise students to preview all templates before deciding which one to use. Each template has instructions and guidelines to help you prepare your content. Every template contains different sections, each with its own instructions to assist you.
  3. Review and Choose the Right Template:

    • Review each section and its instructions carefully, as this will help you decide which template best suits your project needs.
    • If you want to review another template, click on the "Choose Another" link located at the top left of the template page. This will take you back to the Start Project page.

  4. Event Templates:

    • If you plan to participate in an event, ensure you choose the template designated for that event. Event templates are found on the top row of the Start Project page.
    • Note: Currently, you can only preview event templates. Students will not be able to start a project from these templates until closer to the submission date, which is December 9, 2024. However, you can preview these templates, review the instructions, and familiarize yourself with them to help you later.
  5. Workspace Templates:

    • Workspace templates, found in the bottom row, are better suited for projects being developed in a classroom setting. These templates are available for students to use.
  6. Start Your Project:

    • Once you’ve decided on a template, click the "Choose" button to start your project.
    • Update the project title and description, then click "Save." Your project is now saved!
  7. Accessing Your Project:

    • You can return to your project anytime by clicking on the "My Projects" link in the navbar at the top.

By following these steps, you’ll be well on your way to creating and managing your project on ProjectBoard.
